The Power of Building Strong Bonds with Godly Men
Hey there, Real Men Connect community! Joe Martin here, and today I want to talk about the importance of building strong connections with other godly men. You see, in 1 Corinthians 15:33, the Bible tells us, "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company ruins good morals.'" That's why I often emphasize the significance of evaluating, collaborating, and integrating godly men into our lives. But before we delve into that, let's address a crucial question: What do godly men need to succeed in this world, guaranteed?
Men Support Groups - The Five Critical Things Every Christian Man Needs In A Fellow Brother
So what does it take for a Christian man to thrive in this world? As a man devoted to helping Christian men win, I've developed a proven four-step plan geared towards helping men succeed in the areas that matter most to them. These steps are centered around embodying qualities such as loving God, being the hero of your home, excelling at work, protecting and providing for your family, and leaving a lasting legacy of faith for generations to come.
These are also the key qualities that I think are essential if you want a support team to help you thrive (and keep you away from temptations).
Finding Other Godly Men - Four Attributes of a Strong Godly Teammate
Your fellow brother should embody qualities such as loving God. This type of man will help hold you to your god-given potential, he will fight alongside you for what's important to you.
Your fellow brother should be a man who fights for what's important to you. Don't worry, this doesn't mean that you won't be leading your family or life, it just means that your fellow brother will know what is important to you and will support you to stay aligned to that.
Your fellow brother should be a man who values transparency, vulnerability, and unconditional love. Learning to accept this is a tough skill to master, (being vulnerable with other men); but it is also something that will become incredibly valuable to you once you have found these men who will form your team.
and lastly, your fellow brother should be a man you trust to protect and support your family, spiritually and emotionally.
Proverbs 18:1
"Any man who isolates himself from others seeks
his own desires; he fights against all sound wisdom."
Translation: A man who thinks he can succeed without help is a foolish man.
Remember, even Jesus, in his perfection, surrounded himself with a group of men, and their unity and support were instrumental. We, too, need to discern and integrate the best men into our lives and inner circle if we want to become the best husbands, fathers and leaders in our lives.
All I know is that when I learned to let go of the hurt of the past from my father, and leaned into the strength of other men, my life and mindset changed.
